Next Saturday, December 8, Wright Kingdom will be leading the Longmont Lights parade. The parade starts at 5, but come early for winter festivities!

Longmont Lights: Night 2
Longmont Lights continues on Saturday, December 8 with more winter festivities. Come to Roosevelt Park at 5 as Longmont Lights kicks off with the annual parade. This year’s parade theme is “Lights on Parade”. Stay after the parade for Mr. & Mrs. Clause, fireworks, and free ice skating!
Longmont Lights in Roosevelt Park:5 to 8 pm
Longmont Lights Holiday Parade, 5 pm
This year’s theme is “Lights on Parade .” Main Street will be illuminated with more than 60 floats twinkling with lights.Come watch this magical parade filled with marching toy soldiers, high school marching bands, ice castles, 12-ft. balloons, costumed characters and much more.
Extended viewing route continued in 2012! The parade will proceed from third avenue up to 8th avenue, creating an extra block of viewing space for spectators!

Photo Time with Santa, Mrs. Clause, and Friends: 6:15 to 7:30 pm
NEW Warm up area following the parade in the St Vrain Memorial Building Gymnasium. Bring your camera/smart phone for a close up pictures with your child(ren) with Santa, Mrs. Clause, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, and Friends.
Mini-Train Rides: 5 to 8pm* *Train will not run during the fireworks show 6:45-7pm
Enjoy a free mini-train ride, geared for children 6 and under. North/East part of the park by the flag pole, by the turning around loop in RTD parking lot. Proudly sponsored by the Twin Peaks Mall.
Fireworks: 6:45 pm – weather permitting
Fireworks will fill the air at Roosevelt Park (north end of the St. Vrain Memorial Building) following the parade.
Hot Cocoa Carts: 5 to 8 pm
Enjoy a free cup of hot cocoa from one of the hot cocoa carts in Roosevelt Park at the fire pits. Sponsored by Longmont Meals on Wheels.
Fire Pits, Carolers: 5 to 8 pm
Visit the warmth of the fire pits as you walk around Roosevelt Park and enjoy the millions of lights!
Free Ice Skating: 6 to 8 pm
Enjoy free skate admission and skate rentals during Saturday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
Sounds of the Holiday Season: 6:45 to 8 pm
Enjoy the music of two different groups at the Longmont Senior Center! From 6:45-7:15, enjoy the performance of local musicians and then from 7:15 – 8pm listen to the sounds of Longmont Chorale Singers. While you are there, enjoy a free cup of hot cocoa and a cookie!

Longmont Lights: Night 1
Longmont Lights starts on Friday, December 7 in Roosevelt Park. Join the town at 5 pm for a visit with Santa, hot cocoa, food, music, and more!
Longmont Lights in Roosevelt Park: 5 to 8 pm
Santa’s Workshop: 5 to 8 pm
Visit Santa on this magical evening. This parent/child activity is geared for children ages 10 and under. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the moments. Free wood craft (one per family please), courtesy of Home Depot. Proudly sponsored by Next Care Urgent Care.
Hot Cocoa Carts: 5 to 8 pm
Enjoy a free cup of hot cocoa from one of the hot cocoa carts in Roosevelt Park at the Fire Pits. Sponsored by Longmont Meals on Wheels.
Reindeer Visit: 5 to 8 pm
Enjoy a visit with two live reindeer outside the front of the St Vrain Memorial Building.
Sleigh Rides: 5 to 8 pm
Take an old fashion horse-drawn sleigh ride around Old Town Longmont. Rides begin and end on the east side of the Longmont Senior Center. Free.
Fire Pits, Carolers: 5 to 8 pm
Visit the warmth of the fire pits as you walk around Roosevelt Park and see the millions of lights sparkle!
Ice Carving: 5 to 8pm
Enjoy custom ice carvings by Jess Parrish that celebrates Longmont Lights by the Rose Garden in the south side of Roosevelt Park.
Mini-Train Rides: 5 to 8pm
Enjoy a free mini-train ride, geared for children 6 and under. North/East part of the park by the flag pole, by the turning around loop in RTD parking lot. Proudly sponsored by the Twin Peaks Mall.

Stop by to purchase food from various local food truck vendors from the Longs Peak Parking Lot area adjacent to the park.
Holiday Ice Show: 6 to 7 pm
As part of the 2012 Longmont Lights celebration, the City’s Ice Pavilion hosted a Holiday Ice Show featuring ice skating instructors and professionals from the Denver area. Free public skate and skate rentals following the show.
Night Parachute Drop : 7:30 pm – weather permitting
Mile High Skydiving Club proudly sponsors the pyrotechnic night parachute drop at 8pm in Roosevelt Park.
Sounds of the Holiday: 5:45 to 8 pm at the Longmont Senior Center
While you are there enjoying the music, enjoy hot cocoa and cookies!
5:45-6:30 pm: Take Note
6:45-8 pm: Longmont Concert Band. The Longmont Concert Band is a nonprofit organization composed of volunteer musicians whose goals are to provide quality concert band music to the general public, to provide a fun and invigorating atmosphere for local amateur musicians to create music, and to increase the sense of community in the local area by being active participants in local events.
